How will you contribute?
The Senior Procurement Advisor is accountable for the procurement of high dollar value consulting and professional services and the tendering for complex goods and services (audits, printing, equipment, stationery, consumable goods, furniture and furnishing) in support of Senate operation. The Senior Procurement Advisor provides a centralized contracting role: provides advice and guidance to clients on the procurement process; reviews, prepares, and submits documents for tender; manages and assists with the bid process and performs bid audits; provides advice in the evaluation of bids; prepares contracts for execution. The Senior Procurement Advisor works independently with general direction from the Manager, Procurement. The Senior Procurement Advisor provides guidance to the Procurement Advisors and to the Acquisition Officer.
The Senior Procurement Advisor is accountable for the implementation of policies and directives and is responsible for the management or conduct of expert contracting and procurement programs and projects as well as highly specialized, professional, functional and authoritative advice to Senators, Senior Management, to Responsibility Centre (RC) Managers and Project Authorities (PAs).
The position acts as the Centre of expertise on all aspects of the procurement and contracting for the management of projects to clients and colleagues of the Senator\'s offices. The individual also participates in interdepartmental working groups and committees.

The general public to staff three (3) indeterminate, full-time positions in the Finance and Procurement Directorate.
This selection process may be used to staff determinate OR indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.
