This role will also work with our partner companies, with the primary focus being the operational support and compliance enforcement of a growing national life insurance brokerage and financial services provider.

We are seeking an
IT Support/support specialist
to support an array of companies.We are hiring for Toronto and Vancouver. This is an ideal role for a recent grad, or someone with a few years of experience, who thrives in autonomous environments and are driven by ownership, accountability, and delivering results with minimal oversight. This role combines advanced IT knowledge and abilities with system-level thinking and team influence. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, and a detailed oriented individual capable of enforcing regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
Your role will include, but will not be limited to:
Leading cloud security efforts and legal compliance
Managing platform services such as OpenVPN, and Google Workspace
Monitoring system performance, managing cloud spend, and resolving operational issues
Providing technical direction and mentorship to users
Required Skills or Experience
Proven track record of working independently and delivering in low-supervision environments
Familiarity with VPN tools, especially OpenVPN
Basic proficiency in
Python
, and
JavaScript
Experience with GitHub repository architecture and access control
Administration of Google Workspace and 1Password
Strong knowledge of cloud security practices and operational compliance
Demonstrated ability to influence systems, and drive results
Nice to Have Skills or Experience
AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
Security certifications (CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, Security+)
Experience with SOC2, ISO 27001, or GDPR compliance
Contributions to open-source infrastructure or internal platform tooling
Basic proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code
Building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and CircleCI
Reviewing and writing infrastructure and application code (primarily in PHP, Python, and JavaScript)
Compensation
$70,000 - $75,000 per year base salary plus an options grant commensurate with capacity for contribution to the team
