IT Support Technician

to join our Surrey, BC office and ensure our technology systems remain reliable, secure, and effective.

Position Summary:


The IT Support Technician will be the go-to resource for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving our computer systems, software, and network infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in ensuring seamless technology support for team members across departments.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide front-line technical support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot connectivity or configuration problems. Assist with setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and passwords. Support logistics and dispatch software applications critical to company operations. Ensure security protocols are followed to protect data, networks, and devices. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers when required. Maintain detailed documentation of IT assets, issues, and resolutions. Participate in system upgrades, technology projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices for using IT systems efficiently.

Qualifications & Skills:



Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 1-3 years of hands-on IT support or technical troubleshooting experience. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and general network protocols. Familiarity with logistics or dispatch software is an asset. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly and resolve issues effectively. Strong communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. Highly organized with a proactive attitude toward system improvements.
