We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Support professional to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems, networking, and support tools, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining system security. The Senior IT Support will play a critical role in supporting end-users across multiple platforms and ensuring optimal performance of hardware and software systems.
Duties
Provide expert-level technical support for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to Microsoft Office, operating systems, and specialized applications such as ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy
Manage computer networking issues, including LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and network connectivity problems
Assist users with hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of peripherals and components
Support help desk operations by prioritizing tickets and resolving escalated issues efficiently
Configure and maintain security protocols including firewall settings and VPN access to ensure data protection
Document support activities in ticketing systems and knowledge bases for future reference
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system updates, patches, and upgrades
Provide training or guidance to end-users on new technologies or procedures as needed
Skills
Extensive experience with Windows, macOS, Linux operating systems, and desktop support environments
Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and network security protocols
Proficiency with support tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident management and tracking
Expertise in troubleshooting software issues related to Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise applications
Familiarity with hardware components and troubleshooting techniques for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Ability to configure and support network security features including firewalls and VPNs
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels of technical proficiency
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on problem resolution and user satisfaction
Knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server environments is a plus
