Ideal Roofing, a leader in steel roofing, is looking for a motivated and dependable IT Support Technician / Developer to join its IT team.


In this role, you will provide daily technical support to employees in both English and French, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure that all IT support tickets are handled promptly and professionally.


This position also includes light development and automation tasks, as well as occasional website updates and technical improvements.

Main Responsibilities



Provide first and second-level IT support to employees across multiple company locations. Communicate effectively in both English and French when assisting users. Monitor, prioritize, and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to computers, printers, scanners, and network access. Install, configure, and maintain workstations, software, and peripherals. Manage user accounts and permissions in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Active Directory. Assist with small development or scripting tasks (PHP, SQL, JavaScript). Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience



College diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support or helpdesk operations. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills in both English and French (spoken and written). Hands-on experience with Windows and Microsoft 365 environments. Basic programming knowledge (PHP, SQL, or JavaScript). Familiarity with Azure AD and Active Directory. Excellent organization and customer service skills.

Assets



Knowledge of Windows Server and networking fundamentals. Understanding of IT best practices in documentation and user support. Familiarity with WordPress (basic maintenance or content updates).

Dans ce role, vous offrirez un soutien technique quotidien aux employes, en anglais et en francais, en diagnostiquant et en resolvant les problemes lies aux ordinateurs, aux logiciels et aux equipements.


Le poste comprend egalement des taches legeres de developpement et d'automatisation, ainsi que des mises a jour ponctuelles sur le site web et diverses ameliorations techniques.

Responsabilites principales



Fournir un soutien technique de premier et de deuxieme niveau aux employes de differents sites. Communiquer efficacement en anglais et en francais lors de l'assistance aux utilisateurs. Surveiller, prioriser et resoudre les demandes de soutien informatique de maniere rapide et professionnelle. Diagnostiquer et resoudre les problemes lies aux ordinateurs, imprimantes, scanneurs et acces reseau. Installer, configurer et entretenir les postes de travail, les logiciels et les peripheriques. Gerer les comptes utilisateurs et les permissions dans Microsoft 365, Azure AD et Active Directory. Contribuer a de petites taches de developpement ou de scripts (PHP, SQL, JavaScript). Maintenir une documentation technique a jour et participer a l'amelioration continue des processus.

Competences et experience requises



Diplome collegial ou universitaire en informatique, technologies de l'information ou domaine connexe. Minimum de 2 ans d'experience en soutien technique ou en helpdesk. Excellentes competences en depannage et en communication, en anglais et en francais (parle et ecrit). Solide experience avec les environnements Windows et Microsoft 365. Connaissances de base en programmation (PHP, SQL ou JavaScript). Connaissance d'Azure AD et d'Active Directory. Sens de l'organisation, autonomie et service a la clientele exemplaire.

Atouts



Connaissance de WordPress (mise a jour ou maintenance de base du site). Connaissance de Windows Server et des notions de reseautique. Bonne comprehension des pratiques exemplaires en documentation et en soutien TI.
