We are currently seeking an

IT Support Technician

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to end users across all locations and performing administrative tasks of the organization's IT hardware, software, and systems.

What You'll Do:



Provide prompt and effective technical support, training and guidance to end users by resolving issues with computers, desk and mobile phones, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, access control fobs and tablets. Support IT onboarding and offboarding processes by providing or revoking appropriate hardware, software, identity, and access for new or departing employees. Assist with the administration of the lifecycle of IT assets, including deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning. Assist with cybersecurity efforts, including risk assessments, compliance with security standards, and incidence response. Perform Identity and Access Management (IAM) tasks, including user setup, access control, and user deprovisioning. Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system updates, patches, and improvements. Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and security standards. Keep current of developments and best practices in business communication technologies, endpoint equipment, software and related matters. Participate in other duties and special projects as assigned.

Who You Are:



Completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science, plus a minimum of three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles, ideally at a Level 1 capacity, including remote troubleshooting for software and application issues. Knowledgeable in device hardware, peripherals, and cellular technologies. Proficient in operating systems and common business applications. Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM). Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical users, and to liaise with other departments. Customer service skills to provide timely and effective support to users, enhancing their experience and satisfaction. Effective time management, plans and organizes oneself to achieve goals, prioritize tasks; allocates time and resources accordingly; deals effectively with interruptions, and avoids distractions to ensure completion within required timelines. Ability to think analytically and methodically in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders; analyzing and interpreting information and data to resolve problems related to area of responsibility. Self-starter with the ability to exercise considerable independence, judgement, confidence, requiring minimal supervision; takes initiatives to make things happen without being asked and anticipates tasks that need to be done. Looks for ways to improve processes and procedures; helps drive continuous improvement. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all aspects of the position. Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required, and the ability to travel within BC if necessary
