We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our technology team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance and support to our internal users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with various operating systems and IT support tools. Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware components and peripherals.
Assist users with software troubleshooting, including Microsoft Office applications and other enterprise software.
Manage and resolve service requests using ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, or similar ticketing systems.
Configure and support network connectivity including LAN, VPN access, and firewall settings.
Support the setup and maintenance of computer networking infrastructure.
Assist with operating system updates, software installations, and security patches.
Maintain documentation of support activities and solutions for future reference.
Communicate effectively with users to resolve issues promptly while providing excellent customer service.
Collaborate with the IT team on projects involving system upgrades, security improvements, and network enhancements.
Qualifications
Proven experience in IT support or desktop support roles.
Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Familiarity with VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience working with ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
Understanding of computer networking concepts such as LAN, firewall configuration, and network troubleshooting.
Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for common enterprise applications like Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to diagnose hardware issues related to computer hardware components.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
