General Accountability:


We are seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking IT Support Specialist to join our manufacturing business's IT team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of Products, Active Directory, and Azure services, ensuring smooth and efficient desktop computing operations within our dynamic manufacturing environment. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining the reliability and functionality of our desktop systems at all branches, providing timely technical support to end-users, and contributing to the overall success of our IT department.

Roles & Responsibilities:



Active Directory and Azure Integration



Basic management of user accounts, permissions, and group memberships within Active Directory. Collaborate with system administrators to integrate on-premises systems with Azure services. Computers and user's level of access control and permissions.

Microsoft Suite Expertise



Utilize deep knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to assist end-users in optimizing their productivity and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve Microsoft Office application issues, ensuring seamless usage and compatibility. Support Microsoft Teams, One Drive, SharePoint and Outlook.

Computers Maintenance and Upgrades



Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and security configurations. Monitor computer's performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime. Assist in planning and executing desktop hardware and software upgrades as required. Perform computer's scheduled maintenance under stablished procedures.

Technical Support



Provide expert-level desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly and effectively. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, software applications, and peripheral devices. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and reliable end-user experiences across all desktop systems. Respond to user-reported issues via helpdesk, providing clear and concise solutions and guidance. Document support tickets, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately for future reference. Escalate complex technical problems to higher-level IT staff or vendors as necessary Experience on MS Windows, Mac OS troubleshooting and resolution. Experience on Android configuration and troubleshooting. Basic Network protocols understanding and troubleshooting. Ticketing system experience is preferred. Network Printers support, installation, troubleshooting and management

User Training and Knowledge Sharing



Training sessions for users to enhance their understanding of desktop applications and best practices. Share technical knowledge and expertise with team members, promoting a collaborative learning environment Document standard solutions to common issues and create SOP to build the IT KMS.

Physical duties



Able to lift to 45 lbs (20 Kg) Perform some work in reduced and/or elevated spaces.

Cybersecurity



Meraki and Unifi Firewall basic management and understanding. Train and support employees on cybersecurity awareness. Antivirus and Endpoint basic management BitLocker management

Training and knowledge



Comptia A+ CompTIA Security+ CompTIA Network +

Other relevant experience



5 Ss Kaizen Poka Yoke IT Inventory management Automotive experience is preferred

Qualifications & Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent work experience) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products, particularly Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Profound knowledge of Active Directory user and group management. Familiarity with Azure services and integration concepts. Prior experience in desktop support and troubleshooting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Preferred qualifications:



Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals). Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Familiarity with specialized manufacturing software.
