- Professional learning opportunities Position Details Reporting to the Manager of IT, the IT Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining functionality and security of hardware and software/apps on computers, mobile devices, assistive technology equipment, printers, and other network equipment used by APSEA employees and learners on APSEA\xe2\x80\x99s case load. They also provide technical support for all M365 applications, managing M365 related services (Exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.) used by APSEA employees within the four Atlantic Provinces. Requirements and Work Experience You Bring: - Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an IT support role.
- Ability to translate difficult technical concepts to non-technical employees.
- Demonstrated experience with various operating systems including Windows, iOS and Android software and all associated devices.
- Experience administrating Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Endpoint Manager (Intune), Azure AD and related M365 applications.
- Skilled in the management and configuration of networking devices, switches, and printers.
- Knowledgeable in terminating network cabling as well as installing and maintaining wiring racks.
- General knowledge of designing technology and assisting with troubleshooting for audio/video equipment (i.e., virtual classrooms).
- Knowledgeable of on prem. hybrid configurations.
- Advanced knowledge of desktop, laptop, and tablet repair methodologies.
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds with assistance.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Continuously learning new technologies in a dynamic IT environment.
- Occasional travel may be required, access to a reliable mode of transportation is preferred.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ or related certifications an asset.
- ITIL Foundations Certificate an asset.
- Experience or knowledge of WCAG 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards would be an asset.
- Experience working with current assistive technology software and devices in the areas of computer access for blind/low-vision, and Deaf/hard of hearing, considered an asset.
