We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network security, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. This role requires excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with exposure to a wide range of IT support functions, including desktop support, network management, and service management tools.
Duties
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Troubleshoot software problems related to Microsoft Office, operating systems, and specialized applications using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy.
Assist users with VPN setup and connectivity issues to ensure secure remote access.
Configure and maintain computer networking components including LANs, firewalls, and other network security measures.
Support desktop environments by installing, updating, and repairing computer hardware and peripherals.
Manage help desk tickets efficiently through ServiceNow or BMC Remedy platforms while maintaining clear communication with users.
Monitor network security protocols and assist in firewall configuration to protect organizational data.
Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex IT issues promptly.
Skills
Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup and management.
Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues within Microsoft Office suite and other common applications.
Familiarity with VPN configuration and remote access solutions.
Knowledge of firewall management and network security best practices.
Experience with service management tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for ticketing and incident tracking.
Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple support requests efficiently.
