We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for the administration of the corporate networking infrastructure, providing employees with extensive and complete assistance in any issues they may have with respect to information system technology while ensuring that accordance with the company's operational standards and policies is followed. The qualified team member would have hands-on experience in providing various server and end user support by diagnosing hardware and software issues by phone, remote, or on-site.
Job Requirements
Provide IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
On-Prem Active Directory administration and maintenance
Azure Entra ID administration and maintenance
Intune administration and maintenance
Provide support of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server, Office suite, Teams, etc.
Technical services and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, and RDP
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software related to fuel pump systems
Continuous improvement of the internal knowledgebase with common IT issues
Monitoring of Windows and Linux systems
Assist in support and maintenance of network desktop PCs
Assists in troubleshooting hardware and software conflicts and problems
Assists in providing required upgrades and patches for Windows and Linux systems
Assists in providing required configuration changes
Assist with the troubleshooting and maintenance of LAN and/or WAN connectivity
Assist in the installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of printers, network devices and peripheral equipment
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Perform troubleshooting to determine and resolve the root cause of many hardware or software malfunctions at the desktop level
Ensure the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data and software files
Enhance team knowledgebase by assisting in documenting best practices, processes, and procedures
Be involved in projects and create new ideas for improvement of operations
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate is a recent college graduate or has 2-3 years of experience working in the IT field. We are looking for talented individuals who have:
Advanced understanding of network systems, operating systems, business applications and printing systems
New network hardware installation, switches, firewall installation and experience
Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
Analyzing and monitoring network performance
Providing network support and resolving connectivity issues
Configuring hardware and software to optimize network communication
Setting up LAN and WAN networks, as well as Voice Over IP
Managing IP addresses and resolving conflicts
Virtualization experience
Backup and failover technologies experience
Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
Audio / Visual Equipment / Conferencing Bridges / Teams / WebEx, etc.
Managing DNS and different types of records, GPO, print servers, file servers and SAN type solutions
Knowledge of Salesforce would be an asset
Knowledge of IP Telephony software would be an asset
Experienced in Windows, MS Office, iOS, Android, and Citrix desktop environment
Ability to operate network component analyzers, scanners, and testers
Ability to diagnosis and troubleshoot technical issues
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
Able to interface with end user directly on-site
Deadline and detail-oriented
Team player with the ability to help the peers when required
Security minded when executing all tasks
Interpersonal skills: communication skills, active listening
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
Creating and maintaining knowledge articles for new and existing issues/procedures
Accurately and timely logging of problems & resolutions for assigned tickets in the ticketing system
Knowledge of DLP, SIEM, FIM and VM system would also be an asset
Understanding of SQL is preferred
Basic programming skills would be an asset
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its regulations, and the hazards associated with the work
Education Qualifications
A college diploma in IT Computer Systems or Networks or relevant experience is required. Higher accreditation (e.g., Bachelor of Computer Science) is an asset.
