We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical assistance to our organization. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting network infrastructure, and ensuring seamless operation of IT services across various platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to help desk support, ensuring end-user satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
Troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware components and operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Assist users with network connectivity problems, including LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
Manage and resolve service requests using ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, or similar ticketing systems.
Support computer networking tasks such as LAN setup, firewall management, and network security protocols.
Configure and maintain operating systems and software including Microsoft Office suite.
Support remote access solutions and VPN configurations for secure connectivity.
Assist with the deployment of new hardware/software and perform regular system updates.
Document technical procedures and solutions clearly for future reference.
Communicate effectively with end-users to diagnose issues accurately and provide timely resolutions.
Experience
Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, firewall management, and network troubleshooting.
Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy is preferred.
Knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques for common desktop applications including Microsoft Office.
Ability to support hardware components such as desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with users of varying technical backgrounds.
