We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support to our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining network security, and ensuring seamless IT operations across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, and Linux. This role requires strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to deliver exceptional service to end-users. Duties
Provide technical support for desktop, laptop, and mobile devices, including hardware repairs and software troubleshooting
Assist users with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring optimal performance
Manage and troubleshoot computer networking issues including LAN, VPN, and firewall configurations
Utilize ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy, and other ticketing systems to document incidents and track resolution progress
Configure and maintain security measures such as firewalls and VPNs to protect organizational data
Support software applications including Microsoft Office suite and other business-critical tools
Perform routine maintenance on hardware components and assist with software updates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues efficiently
Educate users on best practices for cybersecurity and proper use of IT resources
Maintain detailed documentation of support procedures and solutions for future reference
Skills
Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN, VPN, Firewall configuration, and network troubleshooting
Proficiency in using ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident management
Skilled in hardware diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to operating systems or applications like Microsoft Office
Familiarity with help desk support processes and customer service best practices
Excellent communication skills to effectively assist end-users with varying levels of technical expertise
Knowledge of IT support tools such as Operating System utilities, remote support software, and network monitoring tools
