We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our IT team and provide technical support for our computer systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of IT principles and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems. The IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to our staff, install and configure hardware and software, and maintain our computer systems. As well as assist the Business Transformation / IT Manager with additional responsibilities as assigned. This position will be required in office 5 days a week to support the needs of the business.
Essential Responsibilities:
Managing ticketing system
Provide technical assistance to staff on hardware and software issues
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Set up and maintenance of accounts and user profiles
Respond to and diagnose technical hardware and software issues
Research and recommend new technologies/solutions
Create and maintain documentation of technical processes
Follow up with users to ensure their technical issues have been resolved
Onboarding of customers and maintenance of EDI platform
Assist IT Manager with new project rollouts
Assist with cyber security improvements and maintenance
Assist with rollout and maintenance of website, marketing, and E-commerce
Assist Business Transformation / IT Manager with other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field considered an asset
2+ years of experience in IT support considered an asset
Knowledge of hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Able to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of Windows, Office 365, Smartsheet, ERP, WMS, and EDI systems considered an asset
Knowledge of SQL languages considered an asset
Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
