Beam Radiology is seeking a dedicated and proactive
IT Support & Applications Analyst
to join our team. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, this role is essential for the support, maintenance, and optimization of our critical clinical and business applications within a dynamic radiology environment.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring seamless data flow, troubleshooting system issues, and contributing to the implementation and enhancement of our application suite. This position involves a blend of technical support, system analysis, and project participation, requiring collaboration with various departments to ensure our applications align with operational needs and support high-quality patient care.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of healthcare IT.
Experience with Mirth Connect, HL7, DICOM, and JavaScript are highly desirable assets
, as these are integral to our integration landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Deepen Understanding of Clinical Operations:
Develop a solid grasp of Beam Radiology's clinical processes, application architecture, and the workflow between applications to effectively support these systems.
Provide Expert Application Support & Training:
Gain a thorough understanding of all clinical applications to offer comprehensive training and support to radiologists and staff.
Collaborate on Issue Resolution:
Work closely with the helpdesk team to efficiently resolve application-related issues.
Model Workflows:
Develop and maintain accurate workflow and information models that clearly describe clinical processes and related application workflows.
Drive Application Enhancements:
Support clinical application enhancement projects by gathering requirements from stakeholders, coordinating testing, and collaborating with the team to develop and implement solutions.
Contribute to ITIL Practices:
Build a working knowledge of ITIL practices and provide direct support for areas such as Problem, Change, Release, Security, and Asset management.
Ensure Privacy & Confidentiality:
Strictly adhere to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures related to Beam Radiology, our patients, and our employees.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
A post-secondary degree in Computer Engineering Sciences from an accredited university, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience & Technical Assets:
Mirth Connect, HL7, DICOM, and JavaScript experience
are highly desirable assets.
A diploma or certificate in
Medical Diagnostic Healthcare Informatics
is an asset.
Experience working in a
radiology or healthcare environment
, or using
RIS/PACS systems
, is a strong asset.
Some experience as a Business Analyst, Application Analyst, Application Trainer, or Helpdesk Analyst is an asset.

Work Environment & Schedule
Standard Hours with On-Call:
This role primarily operates during regular business hours, with some after-hours work and participation in an
on-call rotation

Local Travel:
The ability to travel within Calgary and the surrounding area for clinic and data center visits is required as needed.
Hybrid Work Model:
You'll primarily work from our
Trinity Hills clinic in Calgary
, engaging in typical office tasks like prolonged sitting and computer keyboarding. Occasional work-from-home opportunities will be available after initial training is complete.

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
