We are seeking an IT Supervisor - Software Engineering to join our Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) product team. This role will be responsible for leading a team of technical resources (Architects and Software Engineers) that will support the implementation of our current efforts to modernize our MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) application platform in addition to supporting the application portfolio that will be replaced by the modern MES. As the IT Supervisor - Software Engineering, you will need to thrive in a fast pace & innovative environment. You will be responsible for developing a global DevOps team that is focused on delivering & supporting INVISTA\'s manufacturing applications.

This role offers growth potential for a strategically focused professional with a passion for driving innovation. In this role you will collaborate with our geographically distributed business teams to align technology solutions with MES optimization strategies for INVISTA.

What You Will Do In Your Role

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Optimize and motivate talent development with the goal of developing a cross functional skilled team
  • Manage and collaborate with the team to develop & implement strategies that drive standard and quality DevOps practices
  • Assist with design, architecture, documentation, delivery, and support of a new platform that is focused on the transformation of our manufacturing processes
  • Develop team members and work processes to proactively identify and address systemic issues, improve product quality, and reduce technical debt
Collaboration to Deliver Results
  • Ensure engagement & collaboration between IT and business/capability teams so that all are aligned on priorities and expectations of product delivery
  • Contribute to the visioning process and product backlog; guide team in contributing towards the product roadmap and strategies aligned with organizational priorities
  • Understand, research, and bring forward technical trends in the industry aligned with MES product strategies
  • Responsible for traveling to manufacturing sites 10-15%
The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:
  • Experience coaching and assisting in the development of direct team members
  • Experience developing with front end, back end, and API integrations
  • Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery)
  • Experience working with stakeholders on prioritization, initiatives, and strategy development
  • Experience with 3rd party utilization and management to achieve desired goals
  • Capability of traveling to INVISTA manufacturing sites 10-15%

  • A degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience working in microservices environment/architecture
  • Experience working with stakeholders on prioritization, initiatives, and strategy development
  • Ability to deliver well-developed points of view, applying economic thinking
