Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled IT - Software Developer V - Java to join our client
Contract Period: 12 Months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $82 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid - 2 days in office - 4 days a week in office down the road in 2026 TBC
Training Period: 4 weeks
Business Hours: Monday - Friday; Core business hours
Job Responsibilities:

Work with Application owner/architects to solution complex transformational type of engineering problems
Ensuring java coding hygiene, being an advisory/champion to other developers
Participate in Application design and make sure the coding practices are followed
Java expert within the Pod, Delegate to the Pod tech lead for any clarifications/questions
Well versed with full-stack system design (not APIs) able to ideate and strong troubleshooter for Single page web application

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

Computer Science Degree or related Certification
8 Years of Relevant Experience
Enterprise Java
Full stack Architecture
Micro-services / Micro Front end
Agile / Scrum methodologies
Online Customer facing Applications
Lead Develop Experience
