Do you have at least 10 years of experience with a proven track record of managing information technology and/or business improvement projects? As the IT Project Manager at The North West Company (NWC), you're responsible for ensuring the delivery of a quality end product within specified budget and time frames by developing and managing the project plan and schedule based on project requirements.

Your Role:



oMaintain organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies;

oRecommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements;

oAdhere to established capital and project reporting governance and compliance requirements;

oAccomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action;

oDevelop a detailed project plan including schedule, resource requirements, and costing according to documented procedures;

oConduct Kick-Off and regularly schedule core team meetings;

oFacilitate the escalation and management of business issues;

oManage the project team on a day-to-day basis and provide all required instructions and directions to ensure identified deliverables meet requirements and are completed on time and within budget;

oIdentify and manage risks throughout the project; and

oMaintain communication with all parties associated with the project.



Desired Skills & Experience:



oBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required;

oMinimum of 10 years' experience managing information technology and/or business improvement projects;

oProven work experience in project management in the information technology sector, preferably retail;

oExcellent leadership skills and extensive experience managing project delivery involving multi-tiered systems integration;

oAbility to gain management support and work effectively at all levels across the organization and across departments within the organization;

oExperience with an ERP implementation is an asset;

oStrong business writing skills with the ability to build and document a timeline;

oSolid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies;

oExcellent client-facing and internal communication skills;

oSolid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills;

oExcellent written and verbal communication skills;

oStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; and

oHolding a PRINCE2 and/or a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset.
