The position at a glance

As part of Global Banking Information Technology Americas, the Project Management team has as a core expertise to manage IT transformation projects across all Global Banking Business Lines. Project Managers will have strong functional & business knowledge, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Global Banking & corporate business and IT footprint, in particular in the domains of payments, cash management and SWIFT.

Provides business, functional and technical leadership to IT initiatives related to the Payments, SWIFT, Cash Managements and ebanking applications and services in Americas, including projects governance, study, documentation and execution.

In detail

Project Management

  • Manage and lead assigned projects to completion with delivery of agreed objectives
  • Ensure that all projects follow Group Policies and Procedure \xe2\x80\x93 including proper Project Governance
  • Identify and stabilize the scope of business topics to be addressed / resolved
  • Identify and obtain the buy-in from the Primary Project Stakeholders and Sponsors
  • Leverage expertise and problem solving skills to propose solutions during each phase of the project
  • Drive the delivery effort by maintaining project lists, organizing follow up meetings, creating and distributing meeting minutes
  • Ensure clear communication of goals, budget, risks, efforts involved, as well as on the progress of the project
  • Work closely with all functions - Front office, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Information Security, Supplier,s IT Teams etc. to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
  • Manage situations of conflict and constraints to ensure the success of the project.

Qualifications

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree from accredited university with focus on IT, Business Administration or other relevant field of study.
  • 3-10 years of relevant industry experience in Global Banking
  • Expertise in Front Office and Operations (functional or in a project capacity), with knowledge of Global Banking activities
  • Deep knowledge of & experience executing all project management concepts.
  • Project planning, documentation experience, & stakeholder management is essential
  • Fluency in both French and English is required. Spanish or Portuguese are nice to have.
  • Excellent level of knowledge of Jira, Sharepoint, Clarity, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent level of knowledge of Payments, SWIFT and Cash management.
The candidate:
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of project life cycle and what each phase implies.
  • Must have excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 Both written and oral.
  • Must be able to professionally and efficiently manage situations of conflict and work with collaborators to arrive at a solution.
  • Needs to demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly.
  • Needs to show ability to multi-task and shift gears for various topics during the project life cycle
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to delve into complicated situations (issues, people, processes etc.), sort out the information and propose the solution/next steps.
