Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced

IT Procurement Specialist

to join our Edmonton team. The ideal candidate will bring both

procurement expertise

and strong

technical knowledge of IT hardware and software

. This role involves managing the sourcing and acquisition of technology solutions that meet our business and client needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Source and procure IT hardware, software, peripherals, and related services Evaluate vendor offerings and negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms Develop specifications for equipment, software licensing, and service requirements Research product options and ensure competitive market analysis Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and resolve procurement issues Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure compliance with policies and standards

Skills & Competencies

Strong technical knowledge of

computer hardware, software, and networking equipment

Proven experience in

IT procurement, vendor management, or supply chain

Excellent negotiation and communication skills High attention to detail, organizational ability, and time management Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP or procurement systems experience is an asset Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, IT, or related field preferred Minimum 2+ years of experience in IT procurement, sourcing, or vendor management Solid understanding of IT product lifecycles, licensing, and support models Must reside in the Edmonton area and be eligible for security clearance
