We are seeking a hands-on, technically proficient, and business-aware

IT Manager

to lead the operational side of IT in a dynamic, mid-sized manufacturing environment. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of all IT services while managing infrastructure, support, EDI, and production system connectivity. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity with the leadership ability to guide a small, high-impact team and the business insight to support ERP, MRP, and operational systems effectively.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS



You have strong technical expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, Microsoft 365), virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), and Windows Server environments You have the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on troubleshooting and execution

EXPERIENCE



You have 5+ years of IT infrastructure and operations experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role You have experience with layered security implementation, incident response, and policy development You are familiar with EDI systems and workflows, ERP/MRP platforms, and SQL database fundamentals

Nice-to-Have

Experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting both business and production systems Knowledge of OT networking, PLCs, SCADA, and secure industrial connectivity Exposure to SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or similar) Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, ITIL Foundation, or CISSP

THINGS YOU WILL DO...



Oversee IT infrastructure including cloud virtualization, storage, networking, and server environments (Microsoft 365, Azure, Hyper-V/VMware) Develop and monitor KPIs for infrastructure health, service desk response, and SLA adherence Maintain IT policies, documentation, patching standards, asset management, and change controls Lead and mentor the IT support team, including Support Lead and Technicians Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across all support interactions Own daily EDI operations, troubleshooting, and improvement efforts Manage relationships with our EDI provider and coordinate integrations with customers, 3PLs, and suppliers Take initiative on system improvement projects, automation opportunities, and business continuity planning Understand how information flows through ERP/MRP systems and SQL databases to support data-driven decision-making Provide IT support for production technologies, including PLCs, SCADA, and industrial PCs Partner with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve plant floor data flow and connectivity issues Implement and manage layered security controls across endpoints, servers, and cloud systems Assist with audits and regulatory compliance related to data protection and IT security frameworks
Manage vendor contracts and maintain effective relationships with hardware, software, and cloud service providers

Salary - 85,000 - 105,000
