Job Description

The IT Integrator is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end IT solutions that ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, networks, and services across the organization. Acting as a technical orchestrator, the role bridges business needs and technological capabilities by assembling interoperable systems that support operational efficiency, security, and scalability. The IT Integrator plays a key role in enabling digital transformation initiatives and ensuring that all IT components function cohesively within a secure and resilient infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities



Design and Integration of IT Systems


Assemble and configure complete IT environments by integrating hardware, software, networks, and services to meet operational and business requirements.


Infrastructure Deployment and Optimization


Set up and maintain servers, workstations, and network components (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN), ensuring performance, scalability, and security.


Cloud and SaaS Integration


Lead the deployment and integration of cloud-based solutions (e.g., Azure, SaaS platforms) into the existing information system landscape.


Cybersecurity Implementation


Apply security best practices by deploying firewalls, antivirus, authentication systems, and intrusion detection tools to protect IT assets.


Application Interoperability


Ensure seamless communication between business applications (e.g., CRM, ERP) and internal systems through APIs, data buses, or middleware.


Project Management and Coordination


Manage IT integration projects from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with business stakeholders and adherence to timelines and budgets.


Technical Support and Troubleshooting


Provide level 2/3 support for integrated systems, diagnose issues, and coordinate with vendors or internal teams for resolution.


Documentation and Knowledge Transfer


Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and contribute to training and onboarding of users and support teams.



Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL Foundation are highly valued. Ongoing training in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or systems integration is considered a strong asset. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems integration or a similar role, ideally within an industrial or multi-site environment. Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and maintain complex IT architectures involving cloud services, networks, and business applications. Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, and managing integration projects from end to end. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure: servers, storage, networking (LAN/WAN, VPN), and endpoint devices Proficiency in system administration (Windows/Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) Experience with cybersecurity tools and practices: firewalls, antivirus, identity and access management, intrusion detection Familiarity with business application integration (e.g., CRM, ERP) and interoperability via APIs or middleware Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Ansible) is a plus Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to balance local and global quality requirements. Regular travel between Canada and USA is required.
