JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of an IT helpdesk representative.
Reporting to the Senior Information Systems Supervisor, this position is responsible to provide front-line service to end-users on software and hardware related problems.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Answer inbound calls and provide first-level technical support to OPG employees.
• Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of technical issues related to hardware, software, and account access.
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware
• Grant user access based on requests and established policies.
• Escalate complex issues to the appropriate support teams when necessary.
• Maintain detailed records of support interactions and resolutions.
• Provide training or guidance on common tools and applications
• Share best practices and common fixes with team members

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma plus up to one year of study in a related field
• Minimum of 1-3 years of IT helpdesk support experience
• Possess strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Professional and polished phone manner and office etiquette
• Have a high comfort level with computers and technology
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Customer service experience preferred
• Technical proficiency in relevant systems and software
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
