Job Description


The IT Helpdesk and Network Administrator will be working with our IT Administrator to support two major functions within our business. The first responsibility will be to provide support to our staff on both day-to-day desktop support questions, SharePoint tasks, and the occasional network development project. This will be an employee facing role where customer service skills and problem solving will be required and appreciated. The second responsibility will involve supporting the system network across our hydrogen fueling stations. This role may require travel to the various stations around metro Vancouver in the event that a remote fix is not possible. This position may also require occasional work outside scheduled work hours for emergencies within reason. CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support and oversight to the overall security of the network and data held within
  • Instruct employees on any new system setup requirements or problem resolution
  • Manage the use of the backup and retrieval system in partnership with the IT Administrator
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Assist with setting up computers and accounts for new hires and creating a welcoming onboarding process
SharePoint Tasks
  • Maintain, upgrade, and monitor the HTEC SharePoint and Azure implementations
  • Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks, internally as well as onsite as needed
  • Set up new user accounts and profiles; resolve any access issues
Station Network Support
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Prioritize and manage multiple open trouble tickets
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnose and solve hardware/software faults
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Replace network parts as required
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a help-desk support capacity
  • Diploma in Network Administration
  • Understanding of Network Technologies (Firewall/LAN/WAN/Wireless/VPN/VoIP)
  • Experience with Firewall, Endpoint Protection (SOPHOS UTM)
  • Network Storage (OneDrive), Network Switches (Cisco)
  • Server Virtualization
  • Server Systems (Microsoft Windows Server 2019, PowerShell/Active Directory/DNS/DHCP/Group Policy/IIS)
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions
  • Information Security, Risk Management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting workstations and End Devices (Windows 10, Office 365, various PC applications)
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Platforms, SQL Server, Office 365 Admin, Exchange, SharePoint
  • Ability to work independently and seek more senior support as needed
  • Must have a valid drivers license in good standing
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year Benefits:
