WHAT WILL YOU DO?




Provide IT field operations support for self-storage-specific and residential smart building technologies including security cameras (Rhombus/Ring), network video recorders (NVR), firewalls, switches, and gate/access management systems (OTA/PTI , Davinci, SiteLink). Manage site ISP (internet) installations and support telecom related issues with vendors in Canada (Rogers, Bell) and US (26+ providers such as Optimum, Verizon, Comcast, Starlink). Partner with internal IT and business teams to resolve day-to-day technical issues and support seamless customer and resident experiences. Drive continuous improvement of through research, automation and implementation of innovative tools and processes. Develop and maintain comprehensive support documentation and conduct user training to drive customer satisfaction. Travel to storage sites and residential facilities as needed to assist in set-ups, installations, and acquisition related activities. Guide technical discussions and initiatives regarding ongoing projects within the IT Field Ops team to align with business goals. Lead remote coordination with contractors and vendors, including defining, costing, and managing performance-based Scopes of Work (SOWs). Develop and improve site standards for cabling, labeling, and other field install best practices.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?




Minimum of 8+ years in IT field operations, preferably within multi-site or customer-facing environments. Strong troubleshooting skills across a range of hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, mobile devices, cheque scanners, telecom systems, networks, cameras, access points, and POS systems. Skilled in supporting Windows, macOS and iOS operating systems used by field teams. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configuration. Experience managing user accounts and access permissions using Active Directory. Proficient in remote access tools such as TeamViewer, Screen Connect, and Remote Desktop. Familiar with IT service management systems for logging, tracking, and reporting service requests and incidents. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users effectively. Professional, empathetic, and customer-focused approach to troubleshooting and support. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments. Knowledgeable in cybersecurity best practices including password policies, phishing prevention, and data privacy is an asset.
