We are looking for an experienced and visionary IT Director to lead digital and technology services within a post-secondary education environment. In this role, you will drive transformative initiatives, oversee strategic technology planning, and ensure the seamless integration of innovative solutions across academic, operational, and administrative areas. Your leadership will be pivotal in aligning IT infrastructure and governance with institutional priorities while maintaining robust cybersecurity measures.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of innovative technology solutions to meet academic and operational demands effectively.
  • Develop and execute strategic policies and processes to enhance technology systems across the organization.
  • Lead the implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy, incorporating data management, emerging technologies, and advanced applications.
  • Establish effective technology governance practices to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure evolves to meet strategic needs, while safeguarding systems through rigorous cybersecurity and risk management protocols.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to seamlessly integrate technology into teaching, learning, and administrative processes.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Drive large-scale technology initiatives, ensuring successful execution from planning to completion.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with external vendors and service providers to support technological advancements.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in areas such as enterprise architecture, project management, or change management are an asset.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in senior IT roles within a large, complex organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, technology governance, and leading transformative initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, CRM systems, ERP solutions, and quality assurance management.
  • Proven ability to manage cybersecurity measures and ensure robust IT risk management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with integrating technology into academic and operational systems.
