Our Compliance Team is looking for an IT Compliance Officer to join the team.

Under the direction of Chief of Compliance, the IT Compliance Officer will provide subject management expertise to Varicent\'s management of IT risks and the successful delivery of compliance activities. You will apply the principles of risk management to Varicent\'s IT infrastructure services. You will also support the various internal and external audits

What you will do:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in IT Risk Management procedures.
  • Assist in systems, operational or compliance audits using a risk-based methodology that includes the design and effectiveness of entity controls and ITGCs.
  • Drafting process documents and presentations for internal and external consumption
  • Assist the team with external and internal audits
  • Monitor, validate and report on the implementation status internal controls. Provide effective communication and education of the internal control policies
  • Provide support to RFPs and Client questionnaires
  • Provide support to the business to implement IT and operational improvements
What you will bring:
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
  • University degree/Diploma
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP (nice to have)
  • Some knowledge of best practices in IT General Controls, ISO27001 COBIT and COSO frameworks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, deliver on time with quality
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Team Player
