Key Responsibilities:
Application Support & Maintenance
Provide frontline support for clinical applications (e.g., EMR/EHR, RIS/PACS, Velox, Ocean, etc.).
Integrating new Diagnostic equipment into existing data center environments.
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
Troubleshoot issues, escalate as required, and ensure timely resolution.
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential problems.
Implementation & Optimization
Support deployment of new clinical systems, modules, and upgrades.
Participate in testing, validation, and go-live support.
Collaborate with clinical teams to customize applications to meet workflow needs.
Supports projects and ongoing applications for information and imaging technologies within a specified region
Training & User Support
Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and workshops for clinical staff.
Provide ongoing support and refresher training to ensure optimal use of systems.
Act as a subject matter expert for application functionality and workflow best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with physicians, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff to understand clinical workflows and requirements.
Partner with IT teams, vendors, and project managers to deliver solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Facilitate communication between clinical and technical teams.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure clinical applications comply with privacy and security regulations (e.g., PHIPA, HIPAA).
Maintain documentation for system configurations, policies, and training.
Develops and implements policies and procedures, in cooperation with IT
Develop training manuals, provide new employee training and on-going training to physicians, clinicians, RNs, techs
Support quality improvement initiatives by analyzing application usage and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Medical Technology, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with EMRs, RIS, PACS (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Accuro, Velox) is an asset.
Experience:
2-5 years of experience supporting or implementing clinical applications in a healthcare environment.
Strong understanding of clinical workflows, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare IT standards.
Experience in user training, project participation, and system optimization.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clinical and technical teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or collaboratively.
Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and security regulations.

Provides after hours support over phone and computer dial-in
Travels extensively within regional areas in Toronto and nearby
