What\'s the job?

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is a strategic partner who acts as the direct link between Saint-Gobain Technology Services and the businesses they support to help maximize the value of digital IT services and ensure customer needs are addressed to help them achieve profitable outcome.

The BRM establishes communication processes and channels with IT service providers, advocates for cybersecurity awareness, and provides creative and innovative solutions while working closely with all partners to ensure the potential business values are realized and optimized. Overall this position ensures client satisfaction at the business/country level is met. This includes strategy planning and portfolio management, business partnering, relationship & service management.

  • Develop and maintain privileged relationships with each supported business site to understand local initiatives and explore opportunities for growth.
  • Applies understanding of business partnering practices and procedures in leading the definition and execution of effective IT demand. Develops a deep understanding of business/country processes, pain points, needs, etc.
  • Manage IT vendors\' relationship to ensure solutions and services comply with the Group\'s IT guidelines.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators to track stakeholders\' satisfaction with SGTS portfolio of services and be ready to address areas in need of improvement.
  • Identify and communicate how SGTS solutions and services can help supported business units achieve short and long-term goals.
  • Promote the Group\'s cybersecurity mandates and increase awareness of SGTS roles and processes.
  • Anticipate the direction of the business and recommend solutions to support desired future state.
  • Advise on options, costs, risks and benefits of solutions.
  • Share and explain the reporting of costs with the business.
  • Leads and provides broad guidance to the medium-long term business IT strategy and ensures overall alignment with business/country and Saint-Gobain IT strategies.
  • Acts as a strategic counselor, leveraging industry trends for business partnering activities, while communicating the vision and strategic direction for delivery and investment of IT services and solutions.
  • Utilizes knowledge of industry trends to identify business problems that could benefit from a technology solution and opportunities to improve technology productivity and efficiency.
  • Identifies internal and external technology initiatives/trends that could affect the business and its ability to manage within its risk appetite. Facilitates an acceptable balance of risk and rewards by communicating tradeoffs to business/country leadership.
  • Pre-qualify business requests and deploy necessary resources (security, service delivery, telecom, cloud factory, special projects, etc.).
  • Partner with leaders to identify opportunities to evaluate, sequence, and, shape initiatives for strategic value
  • Focus on value over solutions. Emphasize value when developing ideas, evaluating risk, and evolving needs
  • Communicate partner value by quantifying impacts and clearly articulating value realized.
  • Identify and mitigate potential problems in the quality of services provided by SGTS to the business.
  • Collaborate with onsite personnel who support industrial infrastructure including SCADA, PLC and HMI devices to ensure practices align with Group IT policies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

What do you bring?
  • Fluent in French and English language (Written/Verbal)
  • Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience preferred, HS Diploma required
  • 7 + years of IT project management, business analysis or business process management required
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills required
  • Strong understanding of Cybersecurity trends required
  • Experience in vendor relationship management and contract negotiations
  • Exposure to manufacturing automation, SCADA and PLC systems
  • Understanding of ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen. Ability to identify BU/Function/Country needs, expectations, and requirements for technology-based solutions. Demonstrated success in proactively solving business-related problems.
  • Drive for results. Ability to complete initiatives through Cargill Global IT and 3rd party vendors.
  • Ability to identify, clarify and promote the best value-delivering opportunities for IT investments and ensure that promised value is delivered.
  • Demonstrated skills in applying IT industry knowledge to real-world business situations. Proactively seeks information and insights for industry, internal and external experts.
  • Demonstrated skills regarding influence, persuasion, communication, finance and organizational change.
  • Exceptional skills in presenting to all levels of leadership in large group settings as well as one-on-one interactions with Platform, BU and functional leaders. Communicates with impact. Strength in synthesizing complex issues in a succinct and clear manner.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal savvy capabilities: relates well to all kinds of people, builds appropriate rapport, ability to obtain results through influence and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through constructive conflict to deliver positive outcomes. Comfort with asking challenging and difficult questions to business and functional leaders.
  • Ability to translate process, data, and technology concepts into business terms.
  • Ability to move frequently between high-level strategic view to a tactical view.
  • Continuous improvement by continually identifying ways to improve processes or work structures.
  • Risk Management, such as the ability to anticipate IT related risks for the business and mitigate such risks.
