TransCanada Turbines (TCT) is the sole authorized overhaul, repair, and maintenance service provider for both Siemens Energy and General Electric (GE) aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving an expanding international client base. Summary:





We are seeking an IT Business Analyst (Contractor) who can seamlessly blend business knowledge with technical expertise to drive efficient and effective IT solutions within our organization. This role will not only focus on understanding and analyzing business processes and requirements but also entail project management responsibilities to ensure successful project delivery.


Duties:





The duties will include but will not be limited to the following:


Business Analysis:

+ Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
+ Conduct comprehensive process analysis to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
+ Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional and technical requirements.

NetSuite Administration:

+ Creation and management of user roles.
+ Creation and management of NetSuite dashboards, workflows and automations.
+ Customize forms and fields.
+ End User Training as required.
+ Documentation.

Solution Design and Implementation:

+ Partner with development teams to design and validate IT solutions that align with business objectives.
+ Facilitate the implementation and integration of new systems or enhancements.
+ Ensure solutions meet business requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Project Management:

+ Lead IT projects from inception to completion, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
+ Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to timelines.
+ Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
+ Coordinate resources, including internal teams and external vendors, to achieve project objectives.
+ Communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders and management.
+ Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.

Enterprise System Support:

+ Provide ongoing support and maintenance for enterprise systems, including ERP and security solutions, ensuring their reliability and performance.
+ Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with technical teams to implement timely resolutions.
+ Monitor system health and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
+ Facilitate user training and documentation to promote effective system utilization across the organization.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

+ Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across departments to facilitate collaboration and consensus.
+ Serve as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Continuous Improvement:

+ Stay on top of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the organization.
+ Recommend and champion process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.



Qualifications and Experience:




Minimum 5 years as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role, with a track record of successful project delivery. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with diverse stakeholders. Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall.) Experience in supporting enterprise systems and familiarity with enterprise architecture principles. Experience with Oracle NetSuite an asset. Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP), Project Management (e.g., PMP), or relevant technologies is advantageous.
