Your role & Its Impact

As the IT Asset Management & Procurement Officer reporting to the IT Manager of Asset Management & Procurement you will be responsible for:

  • Working with Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements
  • The delivery of IT Asset Management & Procurement services to clients within the NS Government and Nova Scotia Health
  • IT Procurement working with complex orders, billing, cost recoveries, reconciliation
  • Reconciling vendors, client statements, bulk, and consignment orders of $1,000,000 or more with efficient and accurate delivery
  • Warehouse shipping and receiving, reconciliation and handling of IT surplus
  • Deliver and analyze financial reports
  • Creating strategies for increasing supply chain efficiency
  • Influence, interpret and implement financial and reconciliation procedures in IT supply management and procurement
  • Play a key role in both project delivery and operational support to ensure a high level of service delivery.
  • Work independently and as a team member
  • Work with senior leadership and executives on Service Excellence Requests
  • Knowledge of IT Hardware and Software equipment and devices
  • Creating and managing procurement catalogs
  • Work with software license management and IT Asset Management & Procurement projects
  • To work in a high pressure and fast paced environment with the ability to multitask and to meet strict deadlines
  • Providing back up coverage for the CSO 3\'s in both IT Asset Management (warehouse) & Procurement
  • Manage and resolve escalations pertaining to the procurement and delivery of IT hardware and software
  • Timely resolution to procurement and billing inquiries
  • IT Ticket and Que Management
How You Can Make an Impact
  • Responsible for billing, receiving, reconciliations and cost recoveries
  • Execute financial audits and troubleshoot any discrepancies
  • Responsible for warehouse shipping/receiving and IT equipment surplus.
  • Experience with the asset management and procurement of consignment goods.
  • Experience with monthly charge backs and cost recovery for Inventory Management and Procurement in the NS Government and Health.
  • Coaching and mentoring to members and clients
  • Implement solutions and ensure appropriate risk management.
  • Provide procurement service and support on IT Special Projects
  • Work with IT vendors
Qualification & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science plus 2 years related experience; or graduation from a recognized Information Technology Program and 2 years and 6 months related experience.

  • Promote and maintain a professional and positive attitude between the different teams during times of pressure.
The following are considered assets:
  • Demonstrated experience of reconciliation of vendor accounts, bulk, and consignment orders of a $1,000,000 or more.
  • Knowledge of software such as FileNet, Assyst, SAP, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Outlook Email.
  • Knowledge of IT Hardware & Software
  • Experience in IT Procurement, IT Asset Management
  • Knowledge and experience of warehousing / shipping & receiving and IT surplus.
  • Experience working with complex projects in Procurement.
  • Experience with supervising employees
We will assess the above qualifications using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks. For this competition, a written test will be administered.

Additional Information
  • You may be required to work in the Halifax and Dartmouth office, you may be required to provide back up coverage for the warehouse operations located in Dartmouth

Pay Grade: PR 01 - PR 11

Salary Range: $1,533.34 - $2,769.76 Bi-Weekly
