Job Description


Position reports to: Senior IT Manager We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of IT and Testing Laboratory Support. The duties of this role include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties. This role is also responsible for the proper placement and movement of testing equipment in our Moncton laboratory. IT helpdesk technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions to them. Primary Responsibilities

  • Installing and configuring user workstations and software components.
  • Onboard new hires as needed.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Maintaining anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
  • Monitoring security alerts and patch updates for workstations.
  • Configuring user AD and email accounts.
  • Managing technical documentation for a KB and infrastructure layout.
  • Assist users with need for new or replacement access cards.
  • Must be comfortable with offering support over the phone, remotely, and in person.
  • Facility, laboratory, and equipment coordination and placement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in computer networks, hardware, and systems maintenance.
  • Experience with MS Office 365 and exchange email troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Windows 10/1, Windows server, AD, NTFS, and GPOs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and MAC addresses.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with VLANs, Firewalls, L2 and L3 switches is an asset.
  • CompTIA certifications, A+, Network+, Security+ or similar is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Hyper-V/VMware is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year Benefits:
