IS&T provides technological hardware, software and infrastructure systems and tools that deliver, support, enable and enhance business performance. The site support team ensures that implemented tools and solutions are available to the user and work as designed. We are looking for an IT Analyst Site Support who will provide first and second level assistance to users in Sept-\xc3\x8eles, Montreal, and Labrador City. Support pertaining to their business systems and equipment, locally or remotely, within agreed service levels. Proactively improve service delivery and processes. The incumbent will perform their duties in Labrador City, NL.

Reporting to the IT Superintendent Hosting and Desktop Services, you will have the following tasks:
  • Install/Replace/Retrieve computer hardware, software, printers and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide troubleshooting and assistance to users at their workstations or remotely for hardware, application, access issues.
  • Provide user coaching and technical expertise.
  • Define and analyze requests for support, conduct appropriate research, resolve issues, and refer to the appropriate level of support and skill when necessary.
  • Manage assets \xe2\x80\x93 inventory, keep asset information up to date, prepare outdated inventory for donation or disposal, manage claims reimbursements or replacement of damaged parts under manufacturer warranty, develop and maintain 5S standards in the IT storeroom and work areas.
  • Ensure compliance with and consistent application of the company\'s and Rio Tinto\'s IT policies and procedures by providing quality support.
  • Actively participate in the improvement of systems, equipment and processes by contributing to problem solving, conducting defect analyses, providing ideas and collaboration to apply appropriate solutions, as well as contributing to the maintenance of a quality of service focused on customer needs.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotation of personnel to provide on-site or remote user support as required (outside of normal business hours).
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
  • Post-secondary education \xe2\x80\x93 Technology diploma or degree
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in an IT Site Support Role
  • Expert analytical, problem solving and IT troubleshooting skills (desktops, laptops,)
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Windows 10 in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge of IP networking concepts, Wi-Fi, and remote access technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Previous experience in an Industrial environment will be considered an asset
