An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Administrator to based in our Burlington office, with some visits to our Down Town location. This role will be responsible for the Incident Management Service requests including (but not limited to) the installation and maintenance of PC hardware, software, printers and peripherals, network access, IT security, and documentation.

About the role

Responsibilities of the IT Administrator will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Logging of incidents and requests
  • Log of resolution efforts and time on ITSM tool
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues and requests in a courteous and timely manner. This includes installation, configuration and problem solving for corporate applications
  • Management of permissions to resource of information like network folder, licensing, etc.
  • Management of access to corporate systems
  • Assist with the on boarding of new employees by ensuring that new user accounts and access is configured, and computers are setup
  • Antivirus notifications
  • Software patches
  • Health status of IT infrastructure components
  • Maintenance of IT hardware inventory on IT asset management system
  • Maintenance of IT software inventory on IT asset management system
  • Ensure software licensing compliance
  • Management of assets as part of the Onboarding and Off-boarding processes
  • Build reports of main IT services consumption
  • Escalate IT infrastructure alerts to 2nd level
  • Coordination with provider for delivery of goods or services
  • Create and update training material and deliver basic training to users on the correct utilization of standard hardware and software
  • Update IT procedures & Knowledge Base
  • Perform back up telecommunications support including all equipment moves, additions an
  • changes for PBX and voicemail accounts, video conference support and provides telephone/ voicemail/ video conference orientation
  • Contribute to the effectiveness of the IT team by providing support to other team members, proactively working towards agreed training goals and undertaking professional development activities.
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary education in Information Technology (either certificate or diploma) is a minimum requirement
  • Demonstrated previous experience in delivering IT support
  • ITIL knowledge \xe2\x80\x93 can demonstrate has had experience working under the ITIL framework
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, configuration, and support of computer hardware such as workstations, printers and other peripheral equipment.
  • Outstanding level of knowledge and support for Windows 10 Enterprise troubleshooting and installation
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure including servers, storage, access points and network switches
  • Understanding of computer network, cabling, network file and print services.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in delivering IT support
  • Position is based in Burlington but requires visits to our Toronto office (5 times a month).
