Job Description


On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for an IT Administrative Coordinator to support their IT department operations. This is a 6-month contract with a hybrid arrangement, requiring two days of onsite work per week at the Client\'s Surrey, BC office.Summary of the Role:The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the IT department, ensuring efficient workflow and assisting with IT-related tasks. Responsibilities include financial transaction management, procurement support, and vendor coordination, working closely with the IMT Budget & Financial Analyst and external vendors.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the IT department, including accounts payable and receivable, procurement processes, and handling correspondence.
  • Manage financial transactions, ensure timely invoicing, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Maintain IT documentation, including user manuals and contractor files.
  • Assist with IT service desk requests, basic technical support, and telecom management.
  • Liaise with vendors to procure IT equipment, software, and services, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Analyze and report on IT data and metrics to support decision-making and improve departmental performance.
Core Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience as an IT administrative professional.
  • Proficiency with accounts receivable and payable, procurement, and understanding of RFPs/RFQs.
  • Experience with IT systems, networks, accounting, and software applications.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with invoicing and procurement.
  • Experience working with JEDI or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with public sector IT operations.
  • Previous experience providing IT Service Desk support is an asset.
Terms:This is a 6-month contract with two onsite workdays per week at the Client\'s Surrey offices. The successful candidate will undergo two reference checks and a basic police record check before receiving an offer.
