Nature of the Work & Responsibilities




NATURE OF THE WORK:




The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing technical duties related to network, computer and peripherals, and providing technical support to users.


RESPONSIBILITIES:




Participate in the overall computer support of the Dawson community via IT Support and other methods. Create users and related configuration tasks in both Skytech Applications and Active Directory. Manage employee accounts and permissions in various Skytech applications. Assist users on the use of Omnivox modules, including MIO, and troubleshoot problems. Assist users with Clara issues, especially during registration, and troubleshoot. Reset user passwords and diagnose login problems. Assist in the completion of lab configuration and installation of software. Diagnose computer hardware and software problems, employing various utilities, where applicable, place service calls where necessary. Participate in dispatching of calls and tickets as needed. Perform other duties as required by the IT Support Manager.





Qualifications & Conditions




QUALIFICATIONS:




To have a diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.


CONDITIONS:




Proven knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems Proven knowledge of Macintosh OS X operating system including: preferences, user management, and system trouble shooting systems Proven ability to troubleshoot printers in an AD environment Advanced oral and written English communication skills (testing may be required) Basic oral French communication skills (testing may be required) Excellent customer service skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to organize work and meet deadlines Ability to work in a team and autonomously
