Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in irrigation systems, gardening, and landscape maintenance. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water distribution for various landscapes. The successful candidate will demonstrate mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools while working in both residential and commercial settings.

Responsibilities/Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in irrigation installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance across residential and commercial properties Install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring proper functionality and efficiency Design custom irrigation systems that include multiple zones catering to different types of yards including lawns, garden beds, trees, etc. Digging irrigation trenches and backfilling efficiently and skillfully using hand tools and trenching equipment Installing mainlines, electronic solenoid valves, brass backflow preventers and shut-off valves with precision and attention to detail Mounting irrigation controllers indoors and outdoors and wiring the system. Perform seasonal start ups and blow-outs Troubleshoot system problems and execute the repairs needed to solve the issue Work with various sizes of PVC and Poly piping Communicate professionally with clients and coworkers to ensure satisfaction and smooth operational planning Keep an organized library of parts and tools Bring a critical thinking and problem-solving mindset to every job site Plan and prepare ahead of time and order parts accordingly in a timely manner.

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Irrigation: 3 years (preferred)
