The Irrigation & Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing irrigation systems and facility infrastructure at Monette Produce in Outlook, Saskatchewan. This includes full oversight of centre pivots, ensuring proper alignment, water pressure, electrical components, and seasonal setup and winterization are completed to keep crop irrigation running reliably and efficiently. This hands-on role supports both field operations and the main warehouse, including washlines, conveyors, packaging, and prep lines, ensuring all systems run safely, efficiently and to a high standard of quality.

Full-time, year-round position offering a competitive salary range of $80,000-$110,000, incentive pay up to 20%, and comprehensive benefits. Shared employee housing is available for rent, and a work truck is provided during the operating irrigation season.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and troubleshoot center pivots, pumps, and irrigation infrastructure.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on washlines, conveyors, and packaging systems.
Support the operation and reliability of warehouse utilities including motors, lighting, ventilation, and water systems.
Collaborate with farm and warehouse management to schedule maintenance and reduce downtime.
Assist with installation, calibration, and upgrades of irrigation and production equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work complies with safety standards.
Work independently and respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs across sites.
Education & Experience:
3-5 years of experience in irrigation, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or industrial facility operations.
Technical certifications or trade tickets (electrical, millwright, plumbing, etc.) considered an asset.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability.
Knowledge of automated systems, pumps, and hydraulic components.
Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Other Requirements:
Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
Physical ability to perform hands-on maintenance and outdoor work.
