Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background and experience in various ironworking tasks, including rigging, welding, and installation. As an Ironworker, you will play a crucial role in erecting and assembling metal structures that are essential for building projects.

Duties

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Assemble and install metal structures using hand tools and power tools. Install structural and misc metals efficiently and effectively. Rig heavy materials for lifting and placement using appropriate techniques. Weld components together using various welding methods to ensure structural integrity. Work effectively at heights, in tight spaces and other difficult positions. Utilize measuring and layout tools to ensure precision in assembly and installation. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and machinery effectively. Familiarity with reading schematics and blueprints is essential. Ability to perform tasks involving physical strength, including lifting heavy materials. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Commitment to safety practices on the job site is a must. CWB all-position tickets an asset.
