Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ironworker to join our construction and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining structural steel and iron components across various projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, blueprint reading, and the use of specialized tools and equipment to ensure precise and efficient work. Duties



Assemble, install, and repair structural steel frameworks, ductwork, and other iron components according to blueprints and schematics Operate cranes, forklifts, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MIG, TIG), and machining tools to cut, shape, and join materials Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications Perform rigging tasks to lift and position heavy steel or iron structures accurately Conduct welding operations including MIG and TIG welding to join metal parts securely Measure materials using calipers and other precision tools to ensure proper fitment Assist in the fabrication process through machining, assembly, and installation of components Follow safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members

Skills



Proficiency in rigging, welding (MIG & TIG), plasma cutting, and blueprint reading Mechanical knowledge related to construction and manufacturing processes Experience operating cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, power tools, hand tools, and schematics interpretation Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and layout work Knowledge of ductwork installation and assembly techniques Familiarity with schematics, assembly instructions, and technical drawings Strong understanding of safety standards in construction environments Ability to work with precision measuring instruments such as calipers Capable of working with various materials including steel, iron, and ductwork components

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
