Duties include:

Place and secure rebar on commercial, residential and infrastructure projects in horizontal and vertical formworks Able to identify the different sizes, lengths and bend types of rebar Able to perform physical work like packing rebar, snap-tying rebar, cutting rebar with a cut saw and placing rebar chairs appropriately Read and interpret detail sheets and drawings Work with apprentices Work around signal cranes and at heights with positioning equipment
Requirements:

Ironworkers must have at least 2 years' experience placing and installing rebar Familiar with slabs, walls, columns, zones, beams, slab-bands and able to work on any of these with information laid out and under supervision
