OVERVIEW
This position is based at our Orillia plant and will be working in the Iron Shop to fabricate steel structures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Experienced in sign fabrication. Welding license (47.1) is an asset. Must be able to read technical drawings Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Perform quality, accurate, and timely work Welds steel structures Measure and cut various types of steel on horizontal band saw Operate hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place Lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the shop area Other work-related duties assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES
Welding license (47.1) is an asset 2 years of welding steel Self-motivated and reliable Able to work independently and as part of a team * Proficient in reading technical drawings
