Functional Role



The IPD Technician is responsible for installing a proper vapour barrier behind tubs, fireplaces, plumbing walls, and anywhere insulators or boarders cannot get to. ? Must understand the 9.36 code for compression on all insulated areas including voids that are inaccessible for the boarder to reach, proper application for acoustical.

Reporting Relationships



The IPD Technician reports to the Construction Manager.

Requirements



Experience Required

Minimum of three years previous experience as an IPD Technician.

Experience within the construction field; Specifically, insulation and drywall.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Time management and task planning skills.

Outstanding customer service skills.

Environmental Conditions:

The individual performs assigned duties in a field construction environment.

The individual must have a clean driver's abstract and be a minimum of 25 years of age to operate a company vehicle.

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs with above shoulder lifting up to 40lbs;

Excellent physical strength, stamina, and manual dexterity; and

Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, climbing, pulling, pushing, kneeling and/or crouching.

Responsibilities



Adhere to the Company's Respectful Workplace Policy and report any violations of this policy to the Human Resources Manager; Follow the Company's Health & Safety Policy at all times; Ensure that all company documentation is maintained in an accurate up-to-date manner; Maintain confidentiality of all aspects of Company Information regarding the owner, employees, clients, vendors, salaries and wages; Maintain an active Class 5 Alberta Drivers' License and a satisfactory driving record pursuant to the Company's fleet insurance policy; and Uphold the Mission, Philosophy, and Values of the Company at all times.

Duties



1. Complete the appropriate scope of work for each IPD job;

2. Visually inspect all equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition;

3. Complete daily Company vehicle inspection for any defects and schedule repairs accordingly; and

4. Perform all other tasks that may be assigned by the Site Supervisors or Construction Manager.

Measures of Performance



The IPD Technician shall be deemed to be performing in an acceptable manner when the following are accomplished:

2. Teamwork/Communication/Attitude/Respect;

3. Accountability to Jertyne;

4. Safety & Wellness; and

5. Overall quality of work completed.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
