We are looking for an iOS engineer to join our Payment Onboarding Team. Our team enables sellers to join Square\'s financial ecosystem and start taking payments through building experiences for them to verify their identity and business information. This allows sellers to activate across different markets, onto different payment methods and to the different ecosystem products that Square provides.

You will:

  • Work with our service teams to deliver remarkable solutions to drive a better Onboarding experience
  • Help develop and define cross-platform solutions to optimize Square\'s expansion into new markets, while remaining in compliance with international money movement and privacy regulations
  • Collaborate with product, design, and other teams to make changes in Seller Onboarding and Seller profile management
  • Hold yourself, and your teammates accountable to the standards of engineering that enables our customers to trust us with their sensitive data
  • Aim to make yourself and your team better through continuous improvement and growth
Qualifications

You have:
  • Have 5+ years of technical experience.
  • Programming depth with Swift and/or Obj-C (we use both)
  • Great communication skills and enjoy working cross-functionally
  • An ability to distill product requirements into technical specifications and communicate client needs to our service counterparts
  • A sense of customer empathy and desire to influence product direction
  • Experience with server-driven UI is a plus

  • iOS Core Libraries (e.g UIKit, CoreAnimation)

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate\'s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

This role is also eligible to participate in Block\'s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
