We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Invoice & Back-End Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll management, and general ledger accounting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and relevant software applications.
Responsibilities
Manage the processing of invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including account reconciliation.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in compliance with GAAP.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday for data entry and reporting.
Prepare journal entries and assist with general ledger reconciliation.
Support payroll management processes using systems like ADP or Kronos.
Conduct analysis of financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
Collaborate with HR for benefits administration and ensure accurate employee records.
Assist in tax preparation and compliance for governmental or non-profit accounting needs.
Provide support during audits by maintaining organized documentation.
Requirements
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Workday, Paychex) and HRIS systems (ADP, UltiPro).
Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and corporate accounting practices.
Experience with SOX compliance and public accounting is preferred.
Familiarity with various payroll systems such as Ceridian or PeopleSoft is a plus.
Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliations effectively.
Knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices related to general ledger accounting.
Previous experience in bookkeeping or financial roles is highly desirable.
