About this Role



We are seeking an

Investment Ops & Portfolio Analyst

? to support our clients' investment journeys. Success in this role requires a process-driven mindset and a commitment to accuracy. This is a non-sales role, ideal for candidates who are organized, proactive, and thrive in a supportive, team-oriented environment. You will play a key role in portfolio management, client account management, trading, and operational support, working closely with both our advisors and clients.

This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, based entirely on-site at our Halifax office.

Key Responsibilities



Operational & Client Support

Manage client investment accounts:

Prepare client files for advisor meetings and assist with complex transactions and high-priority requests.

Execute trades and process transactions

efficiently.

Maintain accurate records

of trades, holdings, and fund documentation.

Review client reports and monitor transaction processing

to ensure recurring activities are completed accurately and on schedule. Provide operational and creative support to the Client Operations Leader and Financial Advisor Team, ensuring confidentiality and timely handling of client service requests.
Investment & Portfolio Management

Monitor, analyze, and report

on fund and portfolio performance, focused on alignment with client risk-return objectives.

Support portfolio construction, maintenance, and rebalancing

to optimize asset allocation.

Conduct investment research and analyze market conditions

to help inform team decision-making and identify risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Qualifications



Minimum 2 years' experience in investment operations and/or wealth management sector required. CIM or Portfolio Manager designation, or actively working towards their designation, is required. CIRO (Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization) license, or a willingness to obtain one, is required. Experience in securities management an asset. Portfolio analyst experience is an asset. Proficiency with securities trading platforms, MS Office, and CRM software is an asset. Strong financial acumen and ability to execute complex transactions. Organized and adaptable team player with strong multitasking skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
