We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable sales associate to join a specialized advisor's team at Sun Life in the Vancouver general area. This position will play a crucial role in delivering sales leads for the team while providing exceptional service to newly found clients.
The hiring advisor boasts extensive industry experience since 2007, dedicating his expertise to portfolio management, risk management, and investment strategies tailored for high net worth families. His exceptional dedication and proficiency in wealth management was recognized when he was awarded the prestigious title of #1 Wealth Advisor of the Year in our district (VGA, excluding Surrey). The advisor is on track to win again in 2025.
Sales responsibilities:
Developing a sales plan with the advisor
Executing the sales plan
Identifying prospecting opportunities outside of the initial sales plan
Assisting in the onboarding process
Joining networking and other social events
Actively engage in prospecting
Work towards referrals from existing clients
Respond to Sun Life lead program in an efficient and timely manor
Other responsibilities but are not limited to:
Maintaining client relationships
Process administrative requests such as: Opening accounts, initiating PACs/AWDs, add banking, updating KYC/IQ information, processing transfers
Respond and act on client inquiries
Provide advisor with client reporting
Deliver and act on investment recommendations
Candidate must haves:
Highly social and outgoing
A large network localized in BC
Charismatic, trustworthy, personable, ambitious, and confident
Enjoys working with people and genuinely wants to help provide solutions
Detail focused while maintaining a high pace environment
A passion for the financial planning industry
Entrepreneurial and performance driven
Desire to work towards being a fully capable advisor
Skills & Qualifications:
Mutual fund licensed
Have a broad and deep network
Proactive and able to work and learn independently
Able to work as an effective team player
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing for effective client interaction in English; fluency in additional languages is advantageous
Experience with developing financial plans
Expected to onboard at least $5,000,000 in AUM within the first 3 months
