Role Overview:

The ETF Team at Fidelity Investments Canada is responsible for providing high quality investment product analysis and expertise. The group is the in-house expert on a multitude of products offered across our ETF business both for retail and institutional clients. The team works closely with the Strategist, Capital Markets, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Institutional Distribution to meet the needs of the clients and other key areas of the organization.

What You Will Do:

The Investment Analyst is the in-house expert on assigned mandates and is involved in all the aspects of analysis, sales and marketing of several Fidelity Investment offerings. The Analyst provides clients with the highest level of service and plays a key role in the products\' sales success. General responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the investment managers and analysts
  • Position and supporting investment mandates with high level of product, market, and competitive category expertise
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with market makers and monitor ETF trading activities
  • Proactively develop and deliver ETF education and marketing ideas
  • Identify compelling product ideas and key factors that will influence sales success
  • Spearhead with external and internal partners to bring new products and solutions to market
  • Support ETF Strategists and Sales with client interactions
  • Maintain strong knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Ensure clarity and accuracy of all product collateral


What We Are Looking For:
  • 4-year post-secondary degree ideally in a business-related subject including Finance, Economics and/or Accounting
  • Enrollment or completion of a CFA designation or MBA degree will be highly advantageous
  • A minimum of 3 years working in the financial services / mutual fund and/or ETF industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • VBA and Macro skills will be advantageous but not required
  • Experience with Bloomberg would be an asset

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines with commitment to excellence
  • Sound grasp of key concepts of portfolio management theory as well as the ability to analyze, interpret and communicate portfolio performance and investment characteristics
