We're looking for an

investigative story writer

to dig deep, connect the dots, and write powerful scripts that bring the lesser-known corners of gaming to light.

What You'll Do

Investigate compelling topics

across the gaming industry and esports landscape -- from historical retrospectives to emerging trends, scandals, and behind-the-scenes drama Craft deeply researched, emotionally driven scripts for YouTube video essays and documentaries Interview sources, analyze public materials, and gather credible data to build narrative authority Collaborate with producers and editors to adapt your findings into strong video structure and pacing Pitch original story ideas and series concepts aligned with our brand and audience
Who You Are

A

natural storyteller and investigator

--curious, detail-oriented, and driven to find the "why" behind the headline Skilled at breaking down complex subjects into clear, engaging narratives Passionate about

gaming, esports, game development

, and the culture surrounding them Experienced in journalism, scriptwriting, or documentary storytelling Committed to ethical sourcing, factual accuracy, and creative integrity

Bonus if you:

Have worked in games journalism, doc-style YouTube content, or narrative podcasting Are comfortable reaching out to sources or building timelines with limited public info Have strong familiarity with YouTube's pacing, retention strategies, and story arcs
