As an integral member of the Paramedicine Safety and Investigations (PSI) team, the

Investigations Coordinator

plays a key role in supporting the incident management process. This position is responsible for the initial intake, acknowledgment, and coordination of all incoming incident reports. The Investigations Coordinator also manages delegated tasks related to incidents that do not require a comprehensive investigation, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and follow-up in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.


Key Accountabilities:Processes, acknowledges, and coordinates daily incident reports (IRs) submitted. Reviews and summarizes incidents for reporting meetings. Creates PDF summaries of incident reports for review by management. Audits and corrects submitted IRs to ensure accuracy and completeness. Acknowledges receipt and assigns IRs to the appropriate Most Responsible Person (MRP). Reports applicable incidents to the Air Ambulance Oversight Unit (AAOU), in accordance with the Performance Agreement (PA) and Ontario Ambulance Documentation Standards (OADS). Attends and actively contributes to various committee meetings. Prepares meeting agendas, record minutes, and distribute documentation. Retrieves and compiles data from the incident management system and other relevant sources. Supports PSI reporting processes. Administers and maintains incident management databases. Manages user accounts within the incident management system. Distributes internal documents as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Post-secondary education completed or currently enrolled in a relevant program. 1-2 years of administrative experience working in healthcare, EMS, aviation, emergency service dispatch or policing. Preferred background in Healthcare, EMS/Aviation and/or investigative processes.
